Why not, the more the merrier! I can G-Tech your car as well. :)

How does 1:00pm this Saturday (April 16 2005) sound?

DVST8R: I'll be able to meet you again once you get your new clutch in, so we can do real baseline runs for your car.

Directions for this Saturday: Go on Highway #1 towards Abbotsford. Take the Mt. Lehman Road exit. Here's a map to the JS Performance shop, which is 2 minutes away from the highway exit:

I'm set to pick up my 1991 Jetta (~220,000km) with a 1986 solid lifter 1.6TD motor (~170,000km) tomorrow or Friday. I already have an Autometer boost gauge and I'll try to install it before this Saturday. I may have a ball&spring boost controller as well. Perhaps we can tinker with the boost and fuel flow then!

Cheers,
Mark

What about MPG?  I know some numbers I've seen for the newer TDI with .205 injectors installed was 20% more power, 5% better mileage.  Do you guys have any info as far as larger nozzles in these older (AAZ) 1.9L TD's?  That's what's gonna make or break my decision to beef up the nozzles.  As a daily driver, I love the performance by NEED the mileage.

It was great meeting some of you :)

1985JettaTD: I have your G-Tech plot from your stock TD, I'll post it tonight.

DVST8R: Your car is faaaaaast! I loved it when you literally smoked some kids promoting hot dogs on the sidewalk  I'm sure they found it funny too as it wasn't too excessive. Let me know when you get the new clutch in and we can do some G-Tech runs.

you are the master of the fueling control.....

for the same speed/load, new nozzles will give better economy by have a better atomisation of the fuel.

then again the usage of the fueling control device under your right foot is the key to fuel economy.

Mark thanks for the compliments! it would be a lot quicker if the clutch wouldnt have been sliping the entire time. Next time we run it you will be in for a ride.

Benjammin my odometer has never worked so I have no idea as to fuel milage. I have a gps but I never can rember to keep it in the car for a whole tank   . It is somthing I am meaning to do. I am guessing it isn't stellar though as like smog said "you are the master of the fueling control.....

I tend to drive it like I stole it. I run redline to redline for most driving and 140km/h + on the freeway. Not all that good for fuel economy. When I get some concrete numbers I will post them.
