hi, i´m working on a m-TDI 1Z motor, i have a AAZ motor, and a notice that the AAZ valve springs, have 2 springs, and the 1Z head have 1 spring, watt is your opiniom for best mouting on the m-TDI head
PS: sory my bad english
The 1 spring is a newer design, though I don't know if it is because it is better or just cheaper. I am putting a 1Z head on my AAZ block and making an M-TDI. I am using the valves, cam, lifters and springs from the AAZ in the 1Z head as they all fit and the head was bare when I bought it. I don't think it will make much difference either way.

I´m only asking because my AAZ motor does 6000 rp easy, and the valve spring´s are 2, so i guess the vale spring of the AAZ head is safer to do hi RPM, IDI motor are more rev. than the TDI, so thas my question.
So you are puting the TDI head on the AAZ block, tell mi something, you will change the pistons too, correct?
you may think chaging the roods too, the TDI 1Z are more ligther then the AAZ.
so no one have a opinion about this??

I know because of the higher rpm's racers use dual or even triple spring setups, but the limiting factor of a diesel means you probably will never get a TDI to a high enough rpm to really need dual springs. Like I said, I don't think it will make one bit of difference which set you use.
Yes, I have to use TDI pistons, but I'm using the AAZ rods. The whole story on the build is
here.
I will be using the dual springs to reduce valve float with high boost. It makes a difference with anything above 25psi or so...
Does any one know what Seat load, open load, and Rate our current sprints are at?

Did you end up finding a suitable oversize exhaust valve?

Not %100 sure, but I think they are the same springs that an AEG gasser uses, which are fairly soft, as the AEG's in stock form can float valves at 6000. Add 25 psi behind them at 5000 and you will definitely be floating.
