Could someone help me connect fuel lines to my injection pump. This engine is totally new to me and I am in the learning mode.
What I see on my pump is:
1)close to the sprocket pulley there is a banjo fitting . What goes in there?
2) on top of the pump another banjo fitting with a small barbed connector attached to it, (is this a return from the injectors?)
3) underneath (2) there is a rubber fitting (about 1/8") maybe vacuum. What does it connect to ?
4) under (3) there is another banjo fitting with a # 1/8" ID pipe at one end and a barbed connector on the other side. Is this the feed port? Why two openings?
I would be grateful for your help and, if you have one handy, a picture of your pump.
Thanks.

I'm thinking you should post a pic of your pump.
Sounds like you have a non TD pump?
Your year & make and turbo/non-turbo would usually help.
Picture is labeled with your numbers

1)close to the sprocket pulley there is a banjo fitting . What goes in there?
1. Fuel supply coming from filter
2) on top of the pump another banjo fitting with a small barbed connector attached to it, (is this a return from the injectors?)
2. Vacuum line to manifold (boost fuelling)
3) underneath (2) there is a rubber fitting (about 1/8") maybe vacuum. What does it connect to ?
3. Vent. Nothing connects there
4) under (3) there is another banjo fitting with a # 1/8" ID pipe at one end and a barbed connector on the other side. Is this the feed port? Why two openings?
4. Fuel return line (back to tank) Small barbed connector is return line from injectors
A is the return line to the tank going to number 4

Here you go. This pump has always been refered to as coming from a 1.9 TD. If this is something else I would be glad to know.

Looks like a 1.9 pump to me
Looks like CoolAirVw's post should answer your question no?
