I got the spruce probe, now I'm looking for a gage.
This one is seems nice and cheap. It doesn't say what type of probe its for,
but if you guys think its an ok gage I'll ask the seller.
Why would It be specified as post turbo ?
What is the amplifier box?
Thanks

The amplifier box is just that... signal conditioning for the meter that allows you to run normal copper wire as an extension. It's 4 wires to the meter... six if you count lighting... so a little more wire is required than the standard passive gauges.
I have this exact sucker... works fine with any K probe, including the nice quick Aircraft Spruce type, which is also what I'm running.
Mine (used from eBay) has one odd behaviour.... the gauge goes to 600F when you power it up and stays there until the temp climbs above 600.
Lots of EGT gauges don't read below 600 anyway so it's no biggie... but I've always wondered if it is a design feature or a flaw.
I ordered a Westach gauge but it was DOA sadly... when I get a replacement I'm gonna swap them out and compare response times.
