I'm man enough to ask: what's the smallest intercooler?
« on: February 09, 2008, 06:55:40 am »
still juggling ideas and may have found a good place to put an intercooler in my transporter. Problem is that it would have to small - like maybe a foot by 8 inches- 30 cm by 20cm. any suggestions?

i guess i'll have to wander down to a couple of vw graveyards and see what i can find. But i remembered that some vr6's had an oil cooler with a small fan behind it. i will see if that can be used.

The key is making certain it flows enough air and then does it cool it.

well even small is better than nothing. i really don't want to have to cut anything out of my transporter as it's pretty solid and clean. if it was older and beat up i wouldn't care if i had to make room for something large.

stock TDI IC has an 8X8 core, the end tanks bring it to about 12" long.
