I thought the gtd nozzles were a direct replacement for the 1.6.I bought a set ,i havent got them yet,but was told they will be a direct replacement/upgrade!What doesnt fit?just to large? Are you putting them in NA injectors?

Can you tell us the part number on the side of the injector ??
DNO SD273 or DNO SD293 - stock injector nozzle
DNO SD276 - "GTD" injector nozzle
All of the DNO SD series should fit in the stock injector housing.... perhaps someone pulled a fast one on ya ??

Bosch... but it's a nozzle designation number... there is probably an actual Bosch part number as well (0 434 250 138 for example is the standard turbo nozzle).
And of course, some of the nozzles are still available from VW, so there is probably a corresponding VW part number for some of them as well (068 130 211D is the standard turbo nozzle).
Don't have the Bosch and VW part numbers for the GTD nozzles... perhaps someone with ESI and a European ETKA will chip in.

The GTD nozzles Bosch number is "DNO SD 274", at least for the SD engined GTD of 1990 vintage. There is a site on the internet that quotes 276, but I think that might not be right. Good luck.

i bought them from ebay (probably a bad idea) for around $60? i think, it was a while ago, if you notice in the pics there is like a clear glue all over the nozzle, i think maby to keep crap out until installed? the old injector was cleaned before the nozzles were installed, but i dont know if by some chance the glue? was still on it? the injectors are still at school, i will pick them up today and post pics. thanks for any help! sorry the pics are so big, i dont know how to size them down. heres the nozzles:

Nah, I think the gluey stuff just grabbed the needle when it was slightly extended.
I personally think you have been misinformed... if you have standard KCA injectors in your engine then just about any nozzle from the DNO SD family should fit... in particular, the 274s in your picture.
Not sure how he knew they wouldn't fit without removing the shipping glue and trying them ?

ok, well i got the injectors tonight, checked them out, and sure enough, the nozzles are correct, my teacher assumed the glue coating was thinner that it actually was, hence him thinking it wouldnt fit. thanks for the help on this matter! i will start posting pics of my build soon.
