1.6 na into gaser Fox
« on: February 05, 2008, 07:01:02 pm »
Afriend has a vw fox that is is in pretty good shape that I can have if Iwant. It is gas and I have a na diesel from a dasher I was wondering how complicated it is to exchange the gas motor for the diesel, ie. radiators, motormounts, gear ratios. I will find out what year it is if that helps. I am not worried about the glowplug system, I will hook it up through a solonoid to a pushbutton onthe dashboard.

i think all you have to do is use the fox motor mounts.  the upper radiator hose i think you'll have to get creative.  don't worry about the gear ratios, you'll be fine.  check vwvortex.com lots of info about this swap on there.
