I think i wil stay with the regular gaskets for the exhaust since i will hopefully get enough info and the right parts to go turbo soon.
IF i go with the 1.9 head gasket, will the .01 should be ok?

Is a 96 passat 1.9 d head gasket the one i what or what year and car comes with the 1.9.
1993 - 1997 Golfs and Jettas all had 1.9 IDIs however 97 was a changeover year so it also contains DIs.
The Passat probably is TDI but I can't say for sure
so which one would be a metal one , it would be a good idea to put a metal one in if i go turbo right?
I don't think it is necessary since you will be keeping boost low right? Since it is an NA I think you would be better off keeping the headgasket the weakest point. It's unlikely to save your engine from too high of egts but it will help with overboosting and over stressing the engine
and for those guys that are planning on running about 20psi or more...?
Which head gasket is the metal one to use on 1.6L Hydrolik for high boost...but it will be intercooled...?
