I have two 1.5 heads in the garage, but no 1.6. So, this is going from memory.
The 1.5 and 1.6 blocks have the same bore. The difference is in stroke. I think the 1.5 has an 80mm and the 1.6 has an 85mm stroke.
As for the heads, the early model 1.6 heads had 11mm head bolts. I think all 1.5s had 11mm bolts. The later 1.6s had 12mm head bolts. As I recall, the two head bolts on each end of the block next to the manifold side are used to "center" the head gasket. So, you would definitely have to use the correct head bolts.
I have used the "guts" of a 1.5 and put in a 1.6 block. With that set-up, its still a 1.5. 1.5 blocks are weak on the end next to the fly-wheel. The corner bolt hole can crack.... then its ruined! Before istalling head bolts, make darn sure the bolt holes do not have any oil or other material inside.
Confusing, but making such changes can be confusing.
