well I was building up a 84 rabbit 2 door turbo diesel. The engine to go into this cute little car was a very worked over 1.6/1.9 combo but i figured in the end it just wasnt going to be fast enough. So i was runnin around the internet and came across some high 11 second rabbits. SO i investigated furter and they were propelled by 1.8ts. So i bought a 1.8t 20v (AEB big port head) and have dropped it in. the engine will be running on megasquirt and has a mercedes sprinter intercooler. I have almost everything to make it run (including the megasquirt) my question is what turbo should i use? My goal is 300 - 340 whp. The exhaust side of the turbo specs that i am looking for would be roughly around a .63 ar. Is there any holset turbos that suit my needs? any suggestions are welcome

well i still have my clean somewhat done up mk2 jetta turbo diesel so i might just stick the rabbits old engine in that (old as in brand new LOL). I am still sticking with my diesels but my idea with my rabbit was to actually make a race car and i just said hey why not actually make it scary fast and not 14 seconds lol

ah you should have went with a PD engine instead... the torque would make the rabbit fly.. literally

the pd engine swap is probably a 5000 dollar swap and then im still only doing 15s.... this way i can spend around 4k and do 11s. it would be interesting to see some more pd swaps.

I am doing low 13's with my 2600lb mk2 1.6td, I am using a t3/t4, I should hit high 12's in the summer.
I would get a gt35 with a .83 ar turbine and call her a day

I think that a k04 turbo would be best for your hp goals
