some questions...exhaust,10mm head,egt install.
« on: January 29, 2008, 07:09:45 pm »
hello

i was given a 3mt stainless steel pipe with 65mm inside diameter.
i was planning on doing the exhaust for some time and now this comes to me but i don't know if this big will be too big...
could i make just the down pipe, all the exhaust or nothing?

k24 for turbo and planning or doing governor mod,10mm pump head,1.9td cam plate,30psi boost...

as for the cam plate, DO i really need it to install the 10mm pump head?
differences if not installed?

and for last, what is the best/secure way of install a EGT probe without taking the exhaust manifold?

65mm is ~2.5 inches, so it sounds about right for what many folks here are running on their diesels.

And anything that can open up that exhaust is a good thing! I'd do it, full exhaust in 2.5" stainless would be nice...

aside from the questions on the previous post, can someone tell me if 65mm(inside diameter) tubing below the car will pass the rear axle and will not ratle on the chassis?

thank you
