GTD starting issues

hi people this is my first post on here, i have done some searching and i can't quite find what i'm looking for so here goes!

IU bought a 92 gtd that is a non runner. it wont start. so im thinking fuel or timing. It cranks all day long - no problem there!

What i want to know is how do i check that the fuel pump is working?? cos if i take off all the return hoses from the injectors the only one that squirts is number one. does that mean that the pump is dead or that im just being stupid?!

i have read and printed off the timing page, and will look at that tom in the light. just want to know if there is a way to check the operation of the pump too.
