• I'm missing the "fusable link" for the glow plugs - the one in the holder on the firewall - anyone know where I can get one?  Thanks!

  Let`s make sure we`re talking about the same thing to be sure: the one I have is a brass link in a plastic casing: is this like yours?

• Well, I don't know what color it is, as it's completely missing, but the wires from the glow plug lead to a black plastic fitting on the firewall where there's supposed to be a 50a fusible link.  The terminals are brass or copper, though -

• You can probably get those fuses from a dealership or aftermarket VW diesel store for a couple of dollars?

  vw dealer has them.  They cost about $3.

• OK, the dealer doesn't stock them but a local repair shop has plenty.  Thanks for the help -
