It's cold here in Maine.  I scored plane tickets for my wife and myself to Punta Gorda FL for tomorrow.  $70 bucks round trip for both of us!

Just checked the weather down there.  80 degree's with an off shore breeze :) .  Cold beer and sunburns here I come

Oh yeah, just to keep this diesel related I will post the fuel prices when I see them

I Live 20 minutes from Punta Gorda Proper. Nice score on the tickets, I just paid $250 to go to Boston for just me   Enjoy the weather.

Diesel is ~$3.49 in the area, I prefer to fill up in St. Pete near my office. Its $3.35 up there. Closer to the port I guess why it's cheaper.

It's Probably too late but, the only good beaches I know in the area would be on Boca Grande, it's a long hike from where you are and there is a $4.50 toll for the bridge to the Island, or Englewood Beach in my neck of the woods, but they on the Gulf of Mexico.

Where you are is on Charlotte Harbor and the river, beaches aren't so great there. Port Charlotte Beach is really about it http://www.charlottecountyfl.com/Parks/ParkPages/pcb.html

Yeah, Cars don't rust down here. I am entertaining a possible job change that will put me in Boston. The rust factor weighs heavily on my mind. If I take it, I'll be living where I can use MBTA so I can keep my 91 Jetta in the garage and out of the salt all winter.
