I already see this pic, and I wonder how the guy make to measure this, It's wrong.
I have both came plate here and both have a different profile, the 11mm one have a smoother curve in begin, It's easy to see with the came in my hand, and when I make a graph, It's totally different than this pic.
The came plate profile have no effect on the initial timing (start-up timing), you will place your timing according to what the person who built your pump will say you, probably between .80 and 1.00mm.
For an example, initial timing on electronic TDI have no effect for the dynamic timing up to 1200-1300 + or - RPM, the car is only more hard to start in the cold morning, but with mechanical pump the builder will have balanced well the initial timing with the dynamic timing curve, with a bench test, they are miraculous :wink:
