ive e-mailed the shop and there very prompt on replys and information as a nu B like myself really needed to gain knowledge about this item! I would like to take this time to give this company a little "pump up" as they were great people to deal with!

My problem is I dont really order over the boarder if i can help it as Ive owned my own business before and just know how customs can be! UPS anyone ever had those issue? Duty and somehow its your problem after youve already paid for shipping and the parts! if they feel like opening the package your fooked

Im trying to re-build the turbo on my 1.6 and Ive located the blue and white part number label ID'ing it as a....

K24

Ive read about these kits but im told there isnt really anyone making them anymore... !!??? http://vwdiesel.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=2184

So in a brief    KKK re-builds in canada? Where?

1) there are some suppliers i Toronto, probably elsewhere too, do a search and you'll find this has been discussed before.
2) the way around the UPS problem is to insist that the seller ship through the post office. Canada post charges 5 bucks plus whatever duty/taxes apply to clear an item through customs, no matter what the value, unlike ups where the charge goes up based on value and is really outrageous!

Yeah generally as long as you don't have it shipped UPS you'll be fine. I hate UPS with a passion

I got mine from here:

http://www.adpdistributors.com/turbochargers.html

Cost about $45 CDN for the K24 kit, if I remember right. Comes with thrust bearing, shaft bearings, seals, clips, bolts, etc.
