I have a line on one. kinda rough shape but runs well. How rare are they? I didn't even know they made a 2 door diesel!

coupes in general are fairly rare and diesel ones are even rarer. I've seen a few, both TD and NA

I've got a 91 Golf NA. Can't find 2-door specific parts in any of the local junkyards, so not too common. I personally wouldn't pay one extra dime over a 4-door. If it's rough, I'd stay away unless you're only paying parts car price for it.

depends on what your plan for it is..
if you want to save a rare car from the crusher, it's an opportunity to do that.
the only absolutely exclusive parts on that car are the rear quarter windows and seals, and the rubber rain channels.. doors are same as 2 door golf, truck is same as 4 door jetta etc..
