hey, im looking for a cheap used windshield for my 89 golf, if anyone has one there looking to sell please speak up, its the only thing holding me back from putting my car on the road

generally you can't get them used because they are glued in and when you try to take them out, they break.
88 Jetta TD....sold for $1000, bought an 06 Cobalt, clearing out the diesel jetta stuff now

I remove them with a carpet knife.
 I keep running it around the inside till I've cut through all the urethane.
 I did break one a while back ... but because I tried  to cut everything from the outside, I pulled up on a chunk of stuff and a small piece 2" x 2" of the top layer of glass broke off near the edge

yea theh last time that replaced a windshield i used a thin guitar string and had a buddy on the outside and i was in my car and we gently sawed our way around the windshield and it came out like a breeze :D
