Well, I am running his TDI nozzles currently, as well as pistons and head, and no problems so far other than one cam bearing hole was slightly too small and the head wasn't as smooth as I'd like it to be. Other than that, the engine has been running fine.

i'm running the 1.6TD injectors.  can't beat the price!! $24 each.  around 1800km's so far without troubles.  the injector bodies seem to be leaking slightly though.. might be a good idea to put each them in a vice and torque it down a bit.

If everyone else thought that way, Wal-Mart would go under tomorrow. :P   :P    The whole problem is you never know if something is inexpensive or just cheap unless you take the chance and buy it. Some people are willing, some aren't.

Yes, the VW IDI injectors for the 1.6 NA and turbo are obsolete.

So you have to find a good rebuilder, our do it yourself if you want to stay "Bosch only".  That would be tough too, because the nozzles aren't even offically Bosch any more.

The Bosch 1.9 IDI injectors are still avaible, but I'm not too keen on the pilot injection thing.

they are very expensive, even to get rebuilt, it is amazing that these parts arent more readily available considering the increasing popularity.  Could you tell me what you think about your injectors mr. Prothe, I would be glad to listen and consider making a purchase!  I have a 1.9 IDI and would eventually like to get some new or rebuilt injectors.
