im putting everything back together and im a lil confused as to which wires go where. ive got 99% of it done, but i got 3 wires all going to the same area and not sure which goes where...
on the side of the head there is the coolant flange that has two areas where wires go across from each other. then there is also a sensor right above this flange.
the wires i have left are two yellow wires ( one is solid yellow, the other is yellow. red) and one blue/ white wire...
as far as i know the two yellow wires go on the coolant flange and the blue/ white is for the other sensor. can anyone confirm this?! thanks in advance

simon is not saying the truth :p
yellow/red goes to the coolant flange
blue/white goes to the coolant flange
yellow goes to the oil pressure switch above the coolant flange.
what did you do that you needed to take this apart?

Hmm have you talked to him about this? Remember, one person cannot review another persons work entirely without looking at every single thing the other person did. things like fan wiring are not normally disconnected to replace an engine. What was incorrect about the gauge wiring?

Hmm, well did he acknowledge that you didnt have a functioning temp gauge?
Why would you talk about selling it when you are so close?
Sounds like the smoke is from a timing problem. Is the cooling system overpressurizing? Did you check the head with a straightedge for warpage?
