How hard is it to switch the seatbacks? I have a 4-door so i don't have to worry about the seat levers. BTW I have 86 Golf 1.6 N/A with a new Giles pump. It is moving out much better now than it used to, but I'm curious, how much quicker is the turbo 1.6 in your Golf?
The seat back are easy. I few bolts, the bottom of the seatback come apart to gain access ti the bolts. I also fixed the cable inside the seatback so the levers would work.
Its fun to drive with the turbo motor. It's a dog off the line but when you get into the turbo zone(from 3700 to 5000 rpms) it pulls hard. So the ideal way to drive is keep the turbo spooled up running from 10 to 20psi.
I caught a good light and gave a 5 series BMW a good run
