Yes I saw that on ebay yesterday!!! If I had a big garage and some spare cash I'd buy that in a heart beat.

I'd start by making the floor prefectly flat, adding a "firewall" with a window to separate the driver from the rear passengers, dump the single rear seat and add an "L" shaped seat with some sort of minibar/ICE setup with a carputer behind the front passenger's seat and a big LCD touchscreen. The whole interior upholstery would be tan leather and black velour.

I'd shave the driver's side rear doors and paint the whole car black with dark black tint. Lights would be smoked e-code aeros up front and smoked rear tails. Add some small bumpers with chrome stripes and shaved turnsignals. Door trims with chrome stripe as well. The window seals would have the chrome strip and the mirrors would be chrome too. The bumper/flares/trims would be smoothed and colormatched to the car. It would ride low on wide old school polished/chrome wheels. I'd probably shave all the doorhandles and add a sunroof in the rear. I would also add those lights limos have between windows on the outside. Oh and a MK1 duckbill.

The engine would be a tuned TDI PD with an auto tranny (it's a limo after all ;) )

Man that would be sweet... ahhh it's nice to have dreams...

Here is what I see.

4-door pick-up.

Chop the rear body behind the second row of seats, turn it into a pickup bed.  Add some serious springs and shocks.
2009 Jetta TDI Loyal edition, 6-spd. 16V 2.0CR

1985 VW Golf 5-spd, 4-door, 1.6NA  Bought from orig. owner in Savannah with 42,000 miles.
"Making the jump NA to TD" slow but sure.

1980 VW Rabbit LS 5-spd, 4-door 1.6NA almost 450,000miles  RIP
