How to remove oil pan on Turbo?
« on: November 09, 2007, 09:19:00 pm »
Is there anything I need to know about (what I assume is) the Turbo oil line coming from the oil pan? How do you remove it? I've unscrewed it but it looks like there's more I need to remove before I take the oil pan off.

Some pretty basic questions, but there's nothing about this in the Bentley book. Thanks.

Just take the oil pan bolts off and loosen the oil return line compression nut. The oil line may be wedged into the fitting pretty tight so you may need to gently tap it free with a small hammer.

24mm crows-foot wrench works a treat on that particular fitting.

I got the 1" nut off no problem. But the oil line underneath... not sure how to disconnect it.
