I just rebuilt my turbo today. I didn't have to ream the new journals. They slid right on.
How much lateral play in the turbo shaft is acceptable?
Mine still has some play.
Thanks

Keep in mind that much of that float will dissapear when you run the turbo. The shaft "floats" in the bearings on oil.

Thanks guys.
So does anyone have a number? .010"? .050"?
or, as long as it's not contacting the casing?
