need help getting my 1.6 TD back together after a full rebuild which has taken  long enough so i have forgotten how most of the brakets go together.  the manual ( bently ) doesnt help much as far as diagrams go. im new to vw so being familar with it doesnt help. i bought the motor out of the back of a truck. and had to drag it through mud about 100 ft on the hood of a beetle to get to my truck. even if i could remember what it looked like before i ripped it apart all i could remember was how much it didnt look like an engine but as muddy oil dipped turd.

Hello i am going to work on it tonight if nothing else come up then i will take some more pics, one of the IP forsure, then the exhuast and intake both stages, and what ever else i do.
you know we have to stick together to keep these little beasts together, and its more fun to talk about them with other people and share advice.
Good Bye got now

thank you for posting more pics. it really helps to make sence of what goes were when you can see the progress.   if you get a chance when you mount the pump take a few shots of that.

ive got the block with rotating assembly done, and im working on putting the head back together now. turbo is all rebuilt, all brackets, and parts for the motor are powdercoated and ready to go back on the motor as soon as i can get a valve spring compressor that works.  those keepers are tough to get back in.  again thanks for your help i couldnt have got as far as i am without your pics.
